OC 8.0.5 Outfits - alpha layer is not Taken Off #517

Open foxuni opened 3 years ago

foxuni commented 3 years ago

Using the Outfits app, a classic-avatar alpha layer does not Take Off when switching from one core to another.

What version of OpenCollar are you using?

OpenCollar 8.0.5, installed from scratch into an un-scripted CopyMod mesh attachment via updater prim and oc_collarizer.lsl

Installed all the Apps during collarization.

What behavior did you expect?

Expected to be able to switch between these cores using BrowseCore and >Wear<

See Inventory folder structure and collar menus in this imgur post.

What behavior did you see instead?

When the core with-alpha is worn, then the core without-alpha is worn, the alpha is not Taken Off along with the other elements of that core. It persists, after the other core is worn.

Observed this behavior regardless whether the elements in each core folder are links or not.

On OpenCollar chat 2021/03/26 ~14:20, ròan (silkie.sabra) speculated that the '.' symbol in the alpha's name may have been the cause. This hypothesis was disproved: Faulty behavior persisted after the alpha was renamed.

What steps does someone need to take to reproduce the problem?

Create folder structure as shown in the imgur post, and interact with the Outfits app as described above.

This needs testing to see if someone can duplicate it in 8.2.3 before closing.
