12 years ago I talked to Paul about this. reverse_geocode() is useful for populating a location_name field when all you have are the coords. For example, if your data source provides lat/lon, but doesn't give you a label for it. Since we haven't had the need for this feature yet, I'm going to close this ticket and focus on the remaining tasks.
