Would this be cleaner broken down into steps? e.g. (additions in italics) 1 To use the Open 3P standard, start by familiarising yourself with the terms and definitions outlined in the standard. These are used to describe the structure and components of packaging and the packaging supply chain. 2 Familiarise yourself with the Data Specification in Section 3, especially with the area of the supply chain you operate in. 3 Next, map your data to the standard by using the terms and definitions as a guide. This will ensure that your data is consistent and can be easily shared and understood by others who are also using the standard. 4 Example csv and JSON files can be found at the bottom of each Data Specification and in the Supporting Files sections

It’s important to note that the Open 3P standard is not a technology or platform, but rather a set of rules and guidelines for how to structure data related to packaging.

Insert analogy of libraries or recipes here or in Key Concepts section?

e.g.1 You can imagine the interplay between language, books and libraries to help you differentiate between a data standard, data and the technology that facilitates its flow across a supply chain. The standard provides a shared language for everybody to speak, the data is the books wherein the language is stored and the libraries are the technologies such as databases from which the data can be retrieved, updated and shared.

e.g.2 To help you differentiate between data standards, data and the technology working together to allow data to flow and provide more value throughout the supply chain, think about how language, books, and libraries interact. A standard provides a common language that everyone can speak, while data are the books in which the language is stored and libraries are the tools that allow the language to be retrieved, updated, and shared.

@ecosystem2 Our comms person is coming up the analogies at the moment and is drafting some copy. When that gets signed off we can add it to the standard.
