We should use travis' container based infrastructure wherever possible? #16

Note that in order to build our own containers, we have to use the legacy infrastructure - this is what we're doing for NRGI.

Container Based is now default - from August 2017 https://docs.travis-ci.com/user/reference/overview/

So maybe we can just close this one?
