Fixes download server error. Closes #100 #101

Rob/Ben - could you have a quick glance at this and merge if it looks ok.

If we can deploy corrected version fairly soon that would be great.

I've spin up a dev env locally and tested this; it looks good. Also fixed a typo! Will merge when tests pass.
