Hi guys! Please check the new files in binjip branch. I redraw some parts, specially to use 6mm material for laser cutting. When everything is ok, someone should start preparing files for the laser machine.

ibikreo commented 9 years ago

... and if you agree we could start merging to the master branch!

I think is pretty good, so we solve many problems. the structure now seems very solid, and I think it is also in accordance with such a project. Think everything for Laser cutting sounds great, so it's easy, and you just build it. I only have a doubt, if one hits it as it does to stay attached to the ground?

I thought about this issue... We could place 4 little magnets under the 1st layer of the base. We have to verify if the material of the original frame is magnetically responsive. I would exclude the biadhesive tape... A less temporary solution is to modify the central divider, with a smaller hole in the middle and replace the original screw with a longer one.

Another thing: I realized that if we want to use the lid to lock the cables, we need to change the height of the vertical elements, increasing it by 10/15mm, but I don't know how much this is useful.

I don't know if the original material is magnetic, but also the second solution it is a good idea!! However tomorrow we test this problem, and we define the file!!

could anyone upload a screenshot of the rhino file? this computer has no rhino... ;-(

When you work with a file format that's not visualized on GitHub or that's not open, you should save a screenshot and add it to each commit of the file, so that it's easier to check the evolution of the project.

Hi guys! I updated the master branch with the last modifications to the rhino file. Now we should be ready to make the 2D files for the lasercut machine. Just check if everything is ok, then someone can produce the svg files. Please, arrange shapes so they can fit as much as possible on a single sheet. After that we have to order/buy the plywood.

vrindadasacco commented 9 years ago

i'm working on the 2d file for the laser cut! so we know the amount of wood to buy!

Madini commented 9 years ago
