Hi @bujatt, thank for your message! The idea behind this project is to try to cover all the possible aspects of design (therefore also graphic design, service design and so on) if they are addressed by the adoption of Open Source principles and practices. Check for example the last presentation that was done for this project: http://www.slideshare.net/openp2pdesign/open-design-definition-workshop-open-knowledge-festival-2012
This means also that it is going to be a more complicated process, but it is important to address also other branches of Open Design rather than just Product Design. We don't know yet if there will be only one main definition or if there will be more "branches" of a main definition, let's see where the collective discussion will bring us! It would be great to try to address also architectural design as well, if you know other people interested in it please spread the word and try to get them involved!
Since we are already working on the definition, the current direction is to have a very generic definition that encompasses all the different kinds of design. For more specific definition, you will have the possibility to fork the definition (once it is ready) and create a sub-definition for specific kind of design
My personal interest lies in the application of openness in architectural design practice.
Am I in the right working group? :)
