can you paste a "dmesg" and "lsmod" output from a linux system where this wifi dongle works?
I can look into that this weekend, please tell me what to do and what to send you exactly, im thinking of trying the dongle with ubuntu live disk on my laptop. I'm rather new at this. Greetings H de Jong

hmmmm for me it looks like it uses the ath9k wlan driver which is included in all our builds, can you now do the same on your openelec system and paste dmesg and lsmod output (maybe the file /var/log/messages too)

I would like to request that drivers be included in the standard openelec install (or instructions for a relevant add-on) to be able to use a Engenius EUB-9603H Wifi Dongle.
