I am having tearing issues with my NVIDIA GPU using VDPAU either with MythTV or KODI, and always solved it by adding
Option "metamodes" "nvidia-auto-select +0+0 { ForceCompositionPipeline = On }"
to the xorg.conf as recommended by NVIDIA
This is impossible with OE because of the RO filesystem. Can that be added by default?
I have GT730 on a miniitx mb with i5 from China.
