Read only #5072

Cannot seem to make any changes or install anything third party through ssh since it's read-only nowadays, seems libre elec is also read only, making it an absolute bitch to work with, any suggestions on a raspberry pi kodi fork that is not adapted for the retarded?

you can use addons or docker, if this is not enough you can try OSMC

Thanks I'll try that.. You guys should really consider going back to giving write access to the file system again, at least partially, or when having the sd card plugged in somewhere else, no chance of sd corruption there

giving write access to the file system again will not happen :) btw there is nearly nothing you can't install, all you need is a docker or an addon (Emby, Plex, FHEM ...)
