I tried to install Generic and OSS (beta3) image on:

Dell Inspiron Mini 10 Service Tag:D3VWLK1

CPU: Atom Z530 1.6 dual core GPU: Intel GMA 500

  1. During setup internal HDD is not recognized
  2. After install in external SD Card, installation is successful, but system hangs on boot splash Openelec image?

OK, time to update this too. I tried today with 1.95.4. No luck. During install Openelec does not recognize HDD. I installed it on SD, and after that on USB stick. Installation on both media goes without any errors or warnings. During first boot, system hangs and reports some integer trouble. More you can se on this screenshots: http://imageshack.us/g/37/drivesgo.jpg/

Since system configures itself during the install (i think) there is no logs folder so I cannot post any. removed USB stick and took few screens on win7 using Diskinternals ux partition reader. So you can see how it lookd in "My Computer" and content of two partitions on USB stick. I do not know what to do else, I would really like to install on Dell Mini, since it has HDMI port faster processor and larger disc than eee pc.

I hope developers will look at this.

This machine has Linux problematic GMA500 gpu, needs config to work with lubuntu 12.04. I tried to install Xbmcbuntu but it hangs during system boot. i tried installing xbmc on host os win7 winXP and Lubuntu 12.04 on this machine, but it is running slow and laggy.

Openelec would be perfect solution since it has dual core Atom 1.6 and 1gb ram but my bug report seems to be ignored by admins....

The problem are Poulsbo drivers for linux and their configuration. I found that Joli OS which is based on Ubuntu works fantastic on Dell Mini and has necessary drivers and configuration files which are open source and can be used by Openelec developers for solving GMA500 chipset issues:

Open source config files on github: https://github.com/jolicloud/jolicloud-hardware/commit/bcd8f14adc468887bc819d5175a2806c6a98b29c

i dont think we have much luck with this drivers, because of lacking GL support and hardware decoding support
