Black screen randomly when changing between menus #712

So I have had this issue for ages now. On different hardware too. First happened on a Zotac Zbox ID41 and now on a custom built Core i3 machine. Connected to a Sony 40EX503 TV.

So basically it seems that the GUI or interface stops responding. Black screen, or sometimes frozen with the fan art after stopping a movie. This does not happen when playing a movie, only stopping a movie, or tv show or in menus.

I have tried the PVR build and not. Currently using OpenELEC 2.0 (Beta 4) - 1.95.4 - i386 (139 MB) MD5 Generic build.

The system is not frozen as I can still use SSH and to get the screen back I run: killall -9 xbmc.bin This kicks it back into the main menu and its usable again.

This is called a deadlock, and xbmc freezes for some reason. Could you enable debugging mode and recreate this problem? Then give us the log.
