Apologies if I shouldn't comment here, but it seems suitable.
There are a few games (Tobal No. 1 & No. 2 sprint to ming immediately) that use an interlaced mode.
Mednafen has video.deinterlacer that could be used to remedy this, though there are a few options (http://mednafen.fobby.net/documentation/#Core+Features%01Using+Mednafen%01Global+Settings+Reference) so perhaps not a single choice that'll fit all.
