Button mapping with WiiMote and Classic Controller add-on not working #932

When I first pair them with my laptop, I can map buttons for a few seconds. After that, I cannot map buttons in the preferences for any of the systems. I've tried deleting pref files, restarting my laptop, restarting OpenEmu and re-pairing the controller, but nothing seems to make it work.

After working with someone on irc, we seem to have determined that it is an issue with the original Wiimotes needing the Wii MotionPlus attached between the WiiMote and the Classic Controller to allow remapping of keys. After attaching and re-pairing, I was able to map all of the SNES buttons to the controller.

I have had no luck using the WiiMote with the Classic or Classic Pro controller attached with or without the Wii MotionPlus attached.

The only way I got it to work was to have the Classic Controller attached to the WiiMote with the MotionPlus before I paired it with my laptop. I was able to map the SNES buttons then, but wasn't able to map the NES. Luckily, removing the item from Bluetooth Preferences and re-pairing with the laptop allowed me to map the NES buttons and the mapping for the SNES was saved as well. It's not a pleasant solution, but it does work.
