Makes sense, given that chances of having an exomoon confirmed sometime soon are pretty good.
Should any parameters differ from the <planet>
element, you think?
@hannorein Would this be something you and others could find useful?
Let's find a moon first... 😉
Would it need to be confirmed or just a plausible candidate?
I don't know. The way I see it, even having one or two good candidates doesn't really justify putting the work in to add them here. A catalogue of exomoons only makes sense when there are so many object that one can't keep track of them individually.
That’s a good point :)
Was support for moons ever added? Currently, the exomoon candidate Kepler-1708 b-i is included in the database as a planet orbiting the star Kepler-1708, instead of a moon orbiting the planet Kepler-1708 b. This should be corrected, or the exomoon candidate should be removed.
It might be useful to have a
<moon>
element available.
