This repo: https://github.com/geobtaa/GBL-Schema-Update includes a simple Python script that reads 1.0 JSON metadata and converts it to Aardvark style. It currently references the BTAA project-specific schema.

[x] update the crosswalk to agnostic and current Aardvark schema
[x] update the python script
[x] create a new repo in OpenGeoMetadata for this
[x] update links from documentation sites to the new repo
