The front page needs some copy to outline what the project is about.
One thing we could use is the copy we wrote for the OGI poster, however this was written specifically for a technical audience, so I suspect we'll need something that talks about both this, co-creation and the pilots.
The poster copy was this:
Demographic, economic and social statistics are increasingly available
as open data, but using them is made difficult by fragmentary,
incompatible and disconnected approaches to publication. Open
Statistics (the systematic study of open statistical data) aims to
make such data easier to use, whether for statistical analysis,
visualisation or in applications.
Statistical data can best be represented using the data cube model, in
which different datasets contribute facets to views of a larger
structure.
We apply the data cube model using Linked Data technologies and
vocabularies.
OpenGovIntelligence launched in February 2016 and will run for three
years.
We are developing software tools for creating, expanding and
exploiting Linked Open Statistical Data. Pilots with government
authorities in six countries will demonstrate and investigate how
statistical data cubes can help create innovative, data-driven public
services.
