Separate tlg4102.tlg038.opp-grc1.xml into two files #1811

Starting at the <div type="textpart" subtype="chapter" n="sup"> starting on line 6042 (on page 279 of the print version), there is another edition of the "Catena In Epistulam Ad Hebraeos". It needs to be separated from the other edition, divided into the correct citation units (preferably along the same lines as the other edition is separated), and saved as tlg4102.tlg038.opp-grc2.xml. Also, changes will need to be made to the __cts__.xml file.

@LucieSty This might be an issue we could look at on Thursday if one of the students is interested in taking it on.

byeats commented 6 years ago

@LucieSty did you or your students have a chance to look at this? @sonofmun I'd be happy to take this on, if it hasn't been addressed yet.

LucieSty commented 6 years ago

Please do. The UVA students don’t return until August and I am in Greece working with family.

@byeats I have assigned this to myself since I cannot assign it to you. But no one else should work on it.

@sonofmun I've taken a look at pg. 279 in the print version: are we sure that this is a separate edition? It seems that the "supplementum" which commences at that page includes different --- and non-overlapping --- content than the previous pages, even though it comes from a different codex. For instance, I did a search for three different verses of Paul, included and commented upon after page 279, and found no matches in prior parts of the book. I could be missing something.

It has been a long time since I looked at this issue. Discuss this with @lcerrato and @AlisonBabeu to decide how to deal with it.

AlisonBabeu commented 6 years ago

Hi @byeats, @lcerrato, @LucieSty and also @sonofmun (we miss you!)

I think I can answer this question. The reason for dividing up this file is that the TLG has it as two separate versions of the same work (because they are based on different manuscripts), although they have also designated the work in question as two works (tlg4012.tlg038 and tlg4012.tlg039).

For our purposes here, however, tlg4102.tlg038.opp-grc1 should have the title Catena in epistulam ad Hebraeos (e cod. Paris. Coislin. 204) tlg4102.tlg038.opp-grc2 should have the title Catena in epistulam ad Hebraeos (catena Nicetae) (e cod. Paris. gr. 238)

Does this make sense?
