I used another launcher in the past (from Fdroid I believe) that, when searching for something in the search bar; it would match if what I was writing was a URL (probably simple string matching of something.com) - then it would allow me to either Web Search for the query as normal; or instead open that URL directly in the browser.
It makes browsing sites super quick (for example, quickly opening up reddit.com) - it's a habit of mine to type in reddit.com into the OpenLauncher search bar, but then it turns into my having to DDG search for reddit.com, then clicking that link.
I think it would be a great little feature; my Java knowledge is 0 otherwise I would dive in a bit; but I thought I would put the feature request out there in case any others wanted it as well.
