:face-palm: apparently I was signed into a very old account with my last comment. If you'd like to assign this to me, please us this one.
Hi Jennifer -- thank you for your help!
Please go for it! I'll assign you.
OpenMaine has been quiet lately, some combination of COVID and summer in Maine, I think. I am also super busy with other things myself these days. But please ping me if I am unresponsive. I don't mind, I just get distracted.
@jenniferthibault Are you back in Maine?
Hey @shannonmcharg!! I am indeed! We're here until we have a reason not to be. Nice to see a familiar name as I was poking around!
Thanks for the green light @congdon , and nice to meet you! I'll aim to turn around some ideas over the next two weeks, but as you said... summer in Maine :)
@jenniferthibault Soooo glad to have you!! Have you found your way into the OpenMaine Slack?
Hi again! I had a little fun with copy, but here are some simple thoughts. Had to stop myself from going much further and remind myself the 404 probably shouldn't be tooooooooo exciting. 😂
1: Can't get there from here. A very Maine 404, but with some info on where to help yourself out.
2: More generic, but still helpful
Both keep the site's header & footer for consistency & navigation, and direct folks to the home page to start fresh. I'm not quite sure what the grid structure is in your underlying bootstrap theme, but I used this 12/4 column as a safe starting guess.
Looking forward to your thoughts! Also happy to annotate or make refinements in any way that works better for you — you know your site much better than I do!
The can't get there from here messaging is great!
@AmyMcGann may be able to answer your questions about the grid.
Hi there @congdon! I'd be glad to help with this as a starter issue. My background is in visual / UX / product design, so I could handle the mockups, but I'm a little too dusty at implementing code from scratch, and would benefit from someone partnering to build it out.
If that still sounds helpful, let me know!
