OpenMandriva version: Cooker and Rolling

Describe the bug: OpenMandriva bootsplash disappears and is replaced with three small blocks. Occurs with both LXQt and Xfce.

Steps to reproduce: System update of kernel to 6.3.1 - Rolling kernel 6.2.6 (not updated)

Observed behavior: Splash screen disappears, replaced by three blocks.

Expected behavior: Splash screen should have appeared.

Additional comment:

SSD is a Samsung T7, external.

GPU is AMD Radeon 3000 (RS780L), integrated, using radeon kernel driver and the X11 ATI package is installed.

Desktop manager is SDDM.

What corrected a similar issue last year:

dracut -f
plymouth-set-default-theme -R OpenMandriva
update-grub2

does not work now.

Logs and screenshots if relevant

Installed all available Plymouth themes, the only one with any graphics that worked, was: tribar

When a similar issue came up last year, @tpgxyz said the issue was with the gawk package, see https://github.com/OpenMandrivaAssociation/distribution/issues/2841

dnf was unable to downgrade gawk, as no prior version was in the Rolling repo.

Installed 5.15 kernel from ABF to Rolling and the bootsplash appears at each boot up with 5.15. Tested all available Plymouth themes, all worked as expected.

Would like to recommend the inclusion of the 5.15 LTS kernel into the repositories.
