OpenMandriva Lx is an exciting free Desktop Operating System that aims to cater to and interest first time and advanced users alike. It has the breadth and depth of an advanced system but is designed to be simple and straightforward in use.
Currently basesystem requires all sorts of stuff that is not actually used on a system installed using default settings -- lvm2, cryptsetup etc.
Move those dependencies to an optional package (but make sure they're still pulled in for install images so the non-default settings keep working).
Would be nice to also update the installer to know whether or not lvm2, cryptsetup and friends will be needed on the newly installed system.
