Plasmashell crashes on startup #3000

I am running an up-to-date cooker system (znver1) on an AMD system. When I updated cooker yesterday, all worked well, and I was able to reboot successfully. When I booted up this morning, I got 3 plasmashell crashes then a blank screen. This is reproducible.

This behaviour started when qt6 was updated to 6.8.0. om-bug-report-20241031093628.log om-bug-report-20241031093646.log om-bug-report-20241031093646.log

Just rebooted. Now all is working. I wonder if it is related to "Night Light" . I will do some testing later.

After doing some experimenting, a I am certain that my problems are caused by the Weather Widget probably trying to access a weather report from Environment Canada.
