I've been playing with renders for a while and now that i've started testing some things for my mod based on your renders. I discovered this lighting issue a while ago on a friend's server and always wondered what caused it so there you go, fixed :D

This issue is very old, the code is no longer in this file and has not been for awhile. @boq does the code still exist in this or another repo? Is this still an issue?

Some time ago I switched to RenderItem.renderItemAndEffectIntoGUI, so this no longer applies.
