Was having problems with this as well, seems the ascii.png is not being loaded in the FontSizeChecker class using getResourceAsStream, this should work though so I've no idea why.

I think im having the same problem. It spams the server console. This really needs to be fixed.

Options:

Texture loading server-side
Some static list with text size pre-computed at build time.
Use Monospace font

Removed this in 4df5ffe4c87c9f39006dcebe54a664fbce17ae28, since it was misleading and impossible to fix on server.
