I just imported an image built on a new packer host for testing. That one is still built without context, so I attached the msi via a file datastore. The msi was accessible and I ran the installer. I waited a bit (I hope it was long enough) but the network stayed unavailable. Rebooted, network context setup OK.

Hello @FlorianHeigl , the contextualization service is not started on installation (same as on Linux). If required, it needs to be started explicitly by calling net start onecontext or VM should be rebooted.

We need to:

document this approach and describe how to stop/start the service if required,
NICE TO HAVE: provide an option (checkbox) in installator to start service on install.
