DOI minting failure #2875

What went wrong?

Unclear if this is us or DataCite. I can't find the logs of what was actually sent, only what was sent back:

textPayload: "      text: 'DOI 10.18112/openneuro.ds004710.v1.0.0: Missing child element(s). Expected is ( {http://datacite.org/schema/kernel-4}creator ). at line 4, column 0',"

In any event, attempting to create a snapshot for https://openneuro.org/datasets/ds004710 is failing. User said they were planning on using "Initial upload" as a changelog entry, for testing.

On the browser end, you just get ApolloError: DOI minting failed.

Expected behavior

DOI should mint.

How to reproduce

  1. https://openneuro.org/datasets/ds004710/snapshot
  2. Add changelog entry ("Initial upload")
  3. Click "Create Version"
  4. Failure

For this specific dataset this is fixed. It was caused by a cache inconsistency issue with the dataset_description file.
