Steps to reproduce

(Standard creating a new map workflow)

  1. Install OOM
  2. "Create a new map..."
  3. Specify Scale (1:10,000) and Symbol Set (ISOM 2017-2_10000)

Actual behaviour

Upon creating a new map, the only menus visible are "Mapper File Help" Also, tool bars are not correct. Screenshot 2024-06-16 at 10 06 16 PM

Expected behaviour

Upon creating a new map, expect to have menus "Mapper File Edit View Tools Map Symbols Templates Help" Expect to see 0.9.5 tool bars.

Configuration

Mapper Version: 0.9.5 Computer: MacBook Operating System: Sonoma 14.5

I have an iMac running MacOS Monterey 12.7.5 and the 0.9.5 OOM menus and toolbars are correctly displayed.

Hm, probably not something which we can solve with Qt 5.12. And not something which I can test on dated MBA.

Hi dg0yt,

Perhaps I don't understand your response, or perhaps it wasn't clear from my post: The error is seen on the current MacOS Sonoma 14.5, but works fine on the older MacOS Monterey 12.7.5.

Thanks

The issue is already understood, but there is a dilemma in solving it...
