Following up on https://github.com/OpenProducer/openproducer/issues/2#issuecomment-594998673 here since the 'Advertising' features included in Newspack could probably be kept under the 'Revenue development' umbrella for this MVP.

@tonyzeoli WordAds is just one of the out of the box providers that could be enabled by upgrading to Jetpack premium. Advertising ‹ Newspack — WordPress - Mozilla Firefox 2020-03-05 01-19-59

WordAds + Google AdSense and Ad Manager are starting points for other providers we might want to include based on the needs of Radio stations and podcasters.

We should keep this issue updated as we develop solutions for stations and podcasters.

After reading instructions and doing a fresh install, I'm realizing you need to purchase the following plugins for Newspack Donations to work -

We're hoping a WordPress plugin will soon provide some other options. https://opencollective.com/funding-extension

In the meantime, there are a variety of ways to embed widgets from providers like Open Collective, Kickstarter, and Patreon.

I've yet to test, but Donorbox looks like a viable, out of the box option -

Since Newspack already includes this functionality (even if it's paid OpenProducer/newspack-platform#12), I'm going to close out this issue.

We can create additional issues for integrations and enhancements as they come up.
