HTML email format #12

optionally format the email as HTML. this would allow it to be color-coded as
in the log viewer, adding to readability.

this would be great.. its much easier to read logs in my computer than in the
phone and without text color it is quite difficult.

With 1.6 update it worked ok.. now i updated to 2.x and i'm receiving mails
with html tags, like this:

<font color="#FD0010" face="sans-serif">E/SmsReceiverService( 7230):
[SMS]Receiver handleMessage</font><br/>

I tried with gmail and hotmail. Any ideas? thanks
btw i think it would be nicer without BOLD.

okay ...

the problem is the mime type of the message. i was using either text/plain or
text/html. the problem with this is that when you send the intent many apps
respond as being able to handle it. i switched to using a mime type of
message/rfc822. i tested on yahoo and gmail and it worked for me ... huh.

i'll switch it back and give you a test build and see if that fixes it.

great, thanks! I tried sending the mail with k9 and the same thing happens. The
mail app shows the message to be sent with the tags and of course you receive
it that way also.

2.1 -update 1.
If the problem is just with me it might be a moded kernel i'm using. Can't
remember exactly when i updated that kernel.

I installed it and was pretty hard to send the email. When i hit send the app
hung up. I reinstalled it and then I was able to send the log. As you said it
would happen, more applications appear in the list. Tried sending the mail with
k9 and with gmail and still getting html tags, so i'm guessing the error might
me mine..wish someone else could try it and report here.
I checked html email in preferences
thanks
