Please tell me this isn't intentional and it's not yet finished :( The new "animation" looks cheap.

The RA2 low power-radar effect was an animation. The OpenRA effect is engine-generated. No idea if it'll be changed though.

Will be easy if the sprite animation is large enough to look good on higher resolutions.

Even if it was small, wouldn't it be easy to replicate?
