Clearance of the Cash Machine is too low #1491

No clearance cheats were used, only speed hacks for the coasters.

No clearance cheats break the drawing. This is a known bug and will be fixed when the ride construction window is finished.

Hmm I thought he said "No clearance cheat" used. But I guess that could also mean no "clearance cheat" used. My bad.

Is it really possible to build the coaster track that close to the cash machine?

I actually just checked this is an original bug. It shouldn't let you build that close.

How should this be fixed? If that red coaster in the screenshot can't be built through the Cash Machine, the coaster layout would have to change. Changing this behavior could break compatibility with existing layouts.

We can just change the clearances for the red coaster track part. Its possible the clearances for the cash machine is broken but I think thats unlikely. Annoyingly it is the cash machine that is wrong.

This would require modifing the object file I think so not sure if we can fix this bug.

I have the impression shop heights are hardcoded in RCT2. It seems like all food and drinks stalls are 6 metres high, even those that visibly take less space - the burger bar for example, which should clearly take 3 metres.

Maybe that is the problem... the cash machine art is too high compared with any other shop.

Not only the cash machine, there are a few others that do this in vanilla/gog rct2 i recall.

Late Edit: the food stall "Tentacles" should be affected in the same way since it is significantly taller than other stalls/shops too.

This still occurs on the cash machine. Is there more stalls this happens with?

Apart from custom stalls that go massively outside the regular bounds, I don’t think so. The Cash Machine just has its height set too low, but its bounding box seems to be correct. It would be easy to fix.
