Station vs tram station #832

In the Brussels (Belgium) area various tram stops are labelled as stations.* According to the OSM documentation this is correct.

However this does mean these tram stops show up on the ORM map as if they are train stations. Which in turn makes the map unreadable imo. Is there anything we could do about this, or does OSM need a different tag for this. Somebody with more experience probably has a good solution for this. :)

*Examples: Heizel, De Brouckère, Horta and many more.

I guess you just need to add station=tram

Heizel (I only updated Heizel as a test before I start messing with the others) has now been tagged as a tram station for a couple of days on OSM, but the change still hasn't taken effect on ORM. I know ORM can take some time before a tile gets updated, but hey a couple of days should be enough right?

So either I am still expecting the change to take place too fast on ORM, or ORM needs an update right? Is there anywhere I can read up on related code, or debug this?

According to the OSM documentation this is correct.

Where did you get that from? According to the German wiki it is wrong to tag anything tram related with station, and I can't see any mention of station for trams on the english wiki either.
