I took inspiration from the gephy blog post. The idea for a long blogpost is also to help whoever wants to run a similar event (us in the future or another project) and serve as a entry point to the different session notes.

If you'd like to split it in two I'll would

Concerning the images, @ej2432 has helpfully added alt text to all of them. I think the presence of the alt text underlines the redundancy of many of the photos. As an example:

<img src="/img/2024barcamp/1719406847962.jpeg" alt="barcamp attendees seated at table"/> <br> </br>
<img src="/img/2024barcamp/1719406850668.jpeg" alt="barcamp attendees seated at table"/> <br> </br>

If the description of those images is the same, maybe it's an indication that they show the same things and so only one of them could do.

To be honest, I like all the photos. It seems like it was a really nice time in person. But I don't mind editing out a couple if others feel strongly.

I don't think the plethora of images is redundant. It's when seeing them all together that you get a sense of how friendly, thoughtful and social the event was, and at least gives me a wish to be able to join next time the community organize something.

Jan, I think you've articulated what I like about them as well. Looks like a friendly bunch and I'm sorry to not have joined in person this time.
