Session Name SUTD Freshmore Muay Thai Introductory Sessions

Abstract

To expose incoming Freshmore students to the Muay Thai sport and to give incoming Freshmore students a brief look into what goes on during our trainings. The Q&A session held afterwards would allow freshies to cool down and clarify all of their existing questions.

Freshies will enjoy a meal together with the trainers to ask about any questions they have about the club, and clarify all their existing concerns.

Logistical details / Budget Needed

We require a budget of $100 in total for the sessions. The food is for the freshies so that they could sit down to have a meal after training to clarify any queries that they might have regarding the club, and to develop a bond between the freshies and trainers. All gym equipment including punching bags, boxing gloves and so on will be acquired by our club. The budget would solely be used to purchase food to improve the bond between the trainers and freshies. We would most probably get pizza from Domino's with the budget allocated. One Large pizza costs roughly about $15 and we plan to get around 3 pizzas (Hawaiian, Pepperoni and Classified Chicken). The pizzas will cost about $45 and along with a delivery charge of $5, the total comes up to $50 per session. So, for the two sessions the total budget required is approximately $100.

Hi @Dhilahesh , thanks for submitting your event proposal! A couple of questions before we can proceed.

  1. Put the date and timing of the session under the session details (understood that it is within your MS Form, but just to ensure people don't miss out on it)

  2. Could I request that you write a short justification for the $300 to be spent on piazzas? It will be difficult to get funding without it.

It might be a bit difficult for us to help you request for $300 for just pizzas as the average request for funding from other fifth rows are in the range of $50-$100. Would highly recommend for you to reconsider how the budget can be lowered for snacks and drinks

  1. Give a breakdown for the budget required? Like what sort of pizzas are you looking to buy?
E.g. [insert brand] hawaiian, Qty and [link] if the item can be found online to justify the price.

Reference : AISG Student Chapter SUTD

Do note that claims are done via concur with valid receipts required, so giving a clearer breakdown can facilitate a smoother process for budet approval.

Cheers!

Hi @Dhilahesh ,

May I clarify that the 10 pax includes the number of facilitators too? If so, would it be possible to estimate the number of facilitators?

Would be great if you could let me know by today.

Thank you xx

Dhilahesh commented 2 years ago

@castlemas We would like to have 10 participants plus 1 facilitator if possible. Otherwise, it will just be 9 participants and 1 facilitator.
