Session Name Launching Bottle Rockets with SEDS-SUTD

Abstract Date: 24 September 2021 Time: 2.00pm - 3.30pm Launching empty 1.5L soda (PET) bottles using an bicycle pump and water pressure. Max height 3-4 storeys.

Session intent (what to expect)

• Participants will learn about the basics of forces and the response of a vehicle to external forces.
• No prior knowledge of physics or science is required.
• This activity is a simple and accessible way for participants to experience what it is like to launch a rocket.

1. Give a breakdown for the budget required? Like what sort of prizes are you looking to give away?
E.g. [insert brand] chocolate, Qty and [link] if the item can be found online to justify the price.

2. Provide us with the venue for the event?

Do note that claims are done via concur with valid receipts required, so giving a clearer breakdown can facilitate a smoother process for budet approval. Cheers!

We are not able to support session on 15 Sep. Mandatory Human Library is scheduled in the afternoon of 15 Sep.

1. Are you able to reschedule this session to another timeslot with the calendar?
2. Also what might be the expected attendance if you are rescheduling this event? Thank you!

1. Venue Football field is the one with the running track?
2. OSL was concern if you're alright with the timing of 2pm as it sounds like it'll be very hot
3. If no, would you be considering other venues?

1. Yes, the one with the running track. We are using the astroturfed area.
2. We initially picked 2pm as we were afraid people would have to wait long in school before the event. Do you recommend shifting it to 3pm?
3. There is another field in between the hostel and the fablab, but we prefer the football field as it is more well known and larger.
