Abstract Teaching running drills and correct running form. Senior-Junior engagement through workouts and meals in small groups.

Session intent (what to expect)

Participants will experience what goes on during our athletics training; learn to run in proper form and know how to plan their own training correctly. Post-training supper (senior and junior engagement session) No prerequisite knowledge is required. Just come to have fun. Help participants to achieve their PB timing, such as 2.4km, through personalised training plans. Advise how to plan for recovery and training session to reach their goals.

Participants: 30 people per session Date: TBC time: 6:30pm-8:30pm Location: SUTD track

Speakers/Workshop facilitators EXCO members and special guest-coach (TBC)

Logistical details / Budget Needed

$5 per pax for the senior-junior engagement through supper. The seniors will be from different years and disciplines. The purpose is to encourage juniors to learn more about the school's culture and ways of life through small group engagement.

Hey @Jefflai0315 Jeff! Thanks for submitting the event, Just wanted to get a bit more detail from you so that we can increase the chances of your event getting approved.

1. Would the total budget required be $150 since there would be 30 people?
2. how you would be able to ensure SHM?

Do note that receipts would have to be kept as submission is through concur.

1. Yes! each participant will only be allocated $5 budget. We will cap the total number of participants at 30. Hence the total budget will not exceed $150.
2. a. Each group will have 5 people in total, including one facilitator from the athletics senior group. b. Each group will be equipped with separate training equipment to avoid intermingle between groups. c. Each group will be split into different areas around the track. d. Facilitator will ensure participants abide SHM rules even outside of school.
