Abstract Come, have fun and pick up a new sport! You can also showcase your passing, dribbling, and shooting skills that you learnt against your opponents in a minigame.

Event Format Physical

Session Capacity

• 16 Participants (split into Groups of 4) + 4 Facilitators (1 to each Group) + 4 extra Facilitators
• Total Expected Attendees: 24

Session intent (what to expect)

• To experience floorball and nurture an interest in the sport, as well as learn some of the basics of floorball.
• Beginners and experienced welcome. No prior experience is required, just come down to have fun!
• Freshies will get to learn to pass and shoot and hopefully gain some new friends at the same time.

Session details

• The introductory session will take place on 22nd and 24th September 2021 in ISH1.
• For each introductory session, it will be split into 2 sessions, Session 1: 7.15pm - 8.45pm, Session 2: 9pm - 10.30pm.
• A Google Spreadsheet will be sent out in the Intro Session Telegram Group a week prior, where freshies will get to fill in their names on a first come first serve basis.
• The specific stations shall introduce aspects of passing, shooting, dribbling and mini-games.

Just wanted to get a bit more detail from you so that we can increase the chances of your event getting approved.

Could you provide an estimated number of attendees and how you would be able to ensure SHM?

May I know the number of facilitators on the day of the event? Would like to know the total expected number of attendees including the 30 participants will be on the day itself. Would be great if you could let me know by today.

Hi @sutdfloorball , your event on 22 Sep has been approved by the school admin. However, do take note that we are not allowed to hold any activities under the DiscoverSUTD event after Fridays on 6pm as a directive given by the school. This means that when we help you advertise, we will only be showing the 22 Sep date. You can still go ahead and conduct the event out of DSUTD though.
