Logistical details / Budget Needed

Budget Needed: $100 Starchitect Models x25 (x20 for workshop participants, x5 for example models by facilitators): $75 Printing Service Fees: $25 Printing at FABLab

Justification: This is to allow a physical representation of the modelling that the students have done to be printed. This is a vital step in the architectural process and in iterative design where students can touch and feel their models, seeing the flaws and the strengths of their models. This will also give a taste of 3D printing to students who are looking to enter architecture.

@Isaac-Soh hey Isaac thanks for submitting the event proposal!

Just one clarification : Do you guys have any need for budget or logistics?

Isaac-Soh commented 2 years ago

Hi @ExtremelySunnyYK, Yep we would like to get a budget of $100 for 3D printing services. This will be used to 3D Stachitect models for the students.

yongkangc commented 2 years ago

@Isaac-Soh , thanks for Letting us knowl! Could I request that you write a short justification for the $100 for 3D printing services? As well as a budget breakdown of what the $100 is used for i.e how many prints and where are you guys going to print?

A reference would be Energy club: Full budget breakdown: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1060jRebU6fGMHcGDlto7qZerriO7lbQb2FR2oEcmnds/edit?usp=sharing

or Changi coffee club (simpler) Budget Needed: $40

2x250g Coffee Beans: $40 2x2L Milk: $10

The reason being that It might be a bit difficult for us to help you request for $100 as the average request for funding from other fifth rows are in the range of $50.

Thanks!

Hi @ExtremelySunnyYK, I've updated the budget after re-evaluating the costs. I've provided justification as well.

Hi @Isaac-Soh, we've just gone through your registration form. Thanks for following the template!

We've noted that you will be holding multiple sessions for your event. Would you want to add an option for registrants to choose which session they are attending? Do let us know and update the form accordingly!

castlemas commented 2 years ago

@Isaac-Soh

May I clarify the no. of participants includes the number of facilitators? If so could you let me know the estimated number of facilitators? Note that: Total attendees = no. of facils + no. of participants

Would be great if you could let me know soon.

Thank youxx

Pinottnoirr commented 2 years ago

@castlemas we will be having maximum 10 facils for the workshop.

So total attendees = 10 facils + 20 participants

In terms of the sessions, the sessions are linked and therefore, if they missed the first one they may not be able to carry on with the following. Hence it may not be most ideal to provide 2 options.

We will update the form soon, in the mean time, hope this will clear out some doubts, apologies for the late response.

Dear @Pinottnoirr Your event has been approved by the school admin.

The venue you have been allocated is TT26 on 16 / 23 Sep 8pm - 10pm which has a capacity of 25 pax. Do remember to update your registration form with the venue as well.

Additionally, your full budget request of $100 has been approved.

Wishing you a smooth and successful event!

Pinottnoirr commented 2 years ago

@jolow99 Thanks for the updates, big thanks to the team!

Although we have a small request, we were wondering whether it will be possible to help our club change the tele handle to this: https://t.me/joinchat/Y--bRmGrKDM4YTM1. This group will be for the term 1 Freshmores only. Previously the link was to the main sutdio group with everyone and we want to avoid unnecessary spam there.

Apologies for the late request.

Do let us know if its possible!

jolow99 commented 2 years ago

Hey @Pinottnoirr. No worries, noted on your request. Thanks
