My idea is to increase the engagement and participation of the OSL community by introducing incentives.
Basically, for this to work, community engagement must be properly tracked and recorded and even managed/monitored to ensure that they are meaningful and genuine (not automated or executed by a bot, for example). Incentives are then distributed to members who stand out in terms of engagement and resourcefulness.
The server's MEE6 bot actively tracks user activities (through message counts) and assigns progressive ranks (rank 1, 2, 3... and so on) to active individuals.
A community member's rank can be used to determine if they get an incentive. For instance, the server might start a policy that users who move up at least three ranks within a specified timeframe can be considered for an incentive.
The incentive value may be fixed or pre-stated, such as a $10 or $20 token to the incentive winner.
Incentives might be shared at specified intervals such as at the end of every month. In this case, the period between the start and end of a month can be one incentive cycle.
My suggestion for fairness in choosing incentive winners is to have a random selector software. The software can be designed in-house. The names of community members (who are at the consideration rank at the end of a month) can be inputted into the software which will randomly return one name.
This one name will decide the winner of the incentive for the month.
This winner will then be credited with the stated or agreed incentive amount and that ends the incentive cycle for the month in consideration.

The OSL discord server https://discord.gg/hq5SSWbg is a good place to implement this. Here's how:
