Not sure the best place to inquire about this, since the the GitHub project seems pretty inactive, but the depth server seems to be down. Both the tile server and web UI front end.
Going to https://depth.openseamap.org/ Just shows an error.
Any help is appreciated:) thanks!

Is there any recommendations if we wanted to run our own copy of the depth tile server? The downtime has been pretty high, probably over 20% in the last few weeks. We are running it for a project and would like to potentially host a copy ourselves for internal use to reduce downtime :)
Hi,
I am the "sysadmin" I can offer to help. Let me know how to proceed.
Best regards, Mihai

Hi eclair4151, we are working on a transfer of the software to new server hardware at the moment. Hope I can provide you with stable solution next weeks.
note: A documentation how to setup a new depth server could speed up the process. Unfortunatally this kind of paper is missing at the moment and I am still busy with.
@stevo01 thanks! Just curious if you are updating the servers now, or if it already took place? Depth servers are down again for the past day or so :)
Also, please let me know if I am being annoying by reporting when the server goes down. If you already have your own monitoring system and already know, let me know, so I can stop annoying you haha.
Thanks again!
@eclair4151: Thanks for the message/reminder. The migration to a new server is still in progress. I had no time to work on that task last weeks/months. Because of my missing knowledge of tomcat / java / java servlets it will take some time. At the moment I fight with tomcat server. The server is running but authentication agains the database is not working. Unfortunatally the tomcat logfile gives me no hint whats the problem. I am loocking for a method to enable logging infos from the authentication module to understand whats the issue.
Hello :) Just checking in again, depth server seems to be down. A random note, I wonder if you can set up some cron detection to detect once the server goes down, and auto reboot or something when this happens to get it back up and running, as a temporary solution to reduce the down time. Not sure how realistic or hard that would be to do based on your architecture, but just a thought. Let me know if there's anything I can do to help.
Maybe you can provide the specific errors you are seeing? what exactly stops working? you mentioned "The server is running but authentication against the database is not working" could you clarify? are you getting a response from the database showing an auth error?
@eclair4151: Thanks for you message. I solved the authentication issue some days ago. The new server is prepared. Additional tests are running at the moment and basic features séems to work like expected. We plan to switch to new server next days.
How are things going with the new server? I noticed the service has been down most of the past week or 2, I assume you are in the process of migrating? thanks again!
Hi,

the new server and required services are available. At the moment we test the solution and I hope that we can switch the domains to new server in the next days/weeks.
Hope everything is going well!
Depth server has still been offline for the past week or 2 again. It was up for about a day but went down again and never came back up. Wondering if you guys can boot it back up, or if you are closer to moving to the new hardware :)
as always all the hard work and help is very much appreciated, and I understand these things take time. Thanks again!
@eclair4151: I started the services on new server hardware yesterday. I tested basic features and hope that the server and the services will work more reliable.
Did the url scheme to access the depth tiles change? requests now always return a 400
eclair4151 Following URL allows you to access gebco layer: https://geoserver.openseamap.org/geoserver/ (we defined own subdomain for this service)
@stevo01 just a heads up, depth layer seems to have been down again for the past week
