Multiple audio tracks not separating #5545

Windows 11 Fresh install of Openshot

I am using Nvidia Geforce to record gameplay with two audio tracks. One audio track for gameplay and the other for voice.

When separating the audio tracks in Openshot both channels appear, but they are the exact same audio tracks. If I open the video with VLC I can listen to both audio tracks, so I know this is a Openshot bug. Or possibly operator error...

I haven't had any luck uploading the log files. Deleting them and recreating the issue makes 109mb in log files.

Any help would be appreciated.

Hello @Slippery-Sparky This is not a bug. This functionality just does not exist in OpenShot. You need to use something like VLC, Audacity, or some other audio tool to separate the audio then import those into OpenShot.

This is an enhancement that has been requested by other users as well. I will flag this as Enhancement and the lead developer will have to review, approve/reject. If approved, it will get in the queue for a future release enhancement.

Thanks for the fast response. Wasn't expecting that at all.

That would be an excellent enhancement.
