OK do you mean the assist stops working, or the flashing leds or both? I just did a quick test on my spare motor (doesn't have 48v supply so motor doesn't spin) and walk assist flashing leds worked fine, tested 3 or 4 times in succession.

@4var1 https://github.com/4var1 , @casainho https://github.com/casainho ,This is a strange one. Wlak assist will work fine once, and then stop working. This happens with both the wired and wireless remotes. @4var1 https://github.com/4var1 , could you please try this to see if it happens to you?

Boy, I need to be more precise in my description! What I mean is that the motor works fine ONCE, then stops working. I wondered if it had something to do with the mysterious delay variable set to 2. Anyway, maybe it's my setup, so I wondered if either of you were seeing any issues with the motor in walk mode. LED signalling works fine for this mode.
OK I'll try to find some time tomorrow to flash the bike and see what's what. I guess I should give ota flashing a go too... I'm still using swd all the time

I connected a 48v supply to my test motor, walk assist works fine repeatedly, motor and leds activating OK.

Ok must be something associated with my build. Thanks for looking.
Just merged the latest changes and still works OK. As for timeout for me there is only a delay before walk assist starts working. Any break in button press results in stop of walk assist. Doesn't seem to be any 2s period where button release is ignored.

I am still seeing walk assist working intermittently. It will work fine 2 or 3 times in a row, then stop working. rebooting the motor firmware will get it working again. Can't imagine what is going wrong on my end. Will keep this issue open for now....
