The responsibilities: HOST:

• Look at the agenda to guide conversation during the meeting. You should address each agenda item and ask for opinions/discussion.
• Make sure all or most of the agenda items are also discussed
• Keep meeting within the time allotted (1 hr). Start to move the conversation along to address most agenda items in a timely manner

MINUTE TAKER:

• You are the scribe for the session, please note down main points mentioned/discussed in our meeting.
• Also note down things that need to be done before the next meeting. These will form the agenda items for the next meeting.
• Between the end of the current meeting and before the next scheduled meeting, compile all actionable agenda items into a new GitHub issue, which will be for the next monthly meeting.
• Please use previous GitHub issues from monthly meetings as template to create your new monthly meeting issues. (such as #50 and #47 )

@fantasy121 I will be happy to record and upload our meeting onto YouTube as per normal, even in months where USYD is not the host or minute taker.

Host and Minute takers would be great opportunities for research students to develop their collaborative, communication and management skills. I found it greatly helpful to build my confidence as well. I would highly recommend all research students taking on these roles. Let's help each other get better :)
