I am also changing the transformation to TEI script to allow for msFrag inside msDesc (many fragments of the same original manuscripts scattered in many libraries). Could we enable msFrag in the schema @Jean-Baptiste-Camps ?

Jean-Baptiste-Camps commented 2 years ago

Schema updated, but maybe it fails because a msDesc needs a msIdentifier before the first msFrag.

Yes. I don't quite get the logic behind this. What I did in the script is to use the first msIdentifier as the general one and then the others as msFrag.

The logic is, I think, that you need a form of identification for the manuscript as a whole like: 'Fragmentary Songbook of the King Alfred' and then:

  1. Fragm. BnF, Fr. 12
  2. Fragm. BAV Vat. Lat. 234
  3. Fragm. KB ms. 543

Everything in order here ?

Do I understand correctly that the editor did not want to give more details on the relative placement of the groups XZaZcZdZw.... and the other one ? Also, there are manuscripts on the gv that are not on the picture (G I J). It is based on the text, right ? (perhaps add a note about that ?)
