Lost manuscripts #56

Should we create an attribute for lost manuscripts? Considering them to be hypothetical nodes would be very misleading, I think. Would it be useful to add a special attribute for them? Or should we just consider them like any extant manuscript?

I agree, but the difficulty is it might sometimes be hard to draw a line between:

Perhaps a chronological criteria ? In any case, it is possible also to add a note to the wit in the witlist.

Good point. Probably each liminal case needs to be evaluated individually. In the example from Tristan, probably it needs to be treated as a regular witness and just mention that it was lost in the witlist.
