Once a tail is scanned for in Android Crumpet, if the MiTail hasn't finished booting, it will fail to connect (and the app will say it failed to connect; have also observed a few other unspecified errors behave similarly). It appears that all subsequent attempts will also fail unless the app is closed - (speculation) almost as if the error condition isn't being cleared in the application?
Similarly, if the tail is scanned for, and turned off and on again before "connect" is pressed, all attempts to connect will fail.
