Fixed links in index.md, added history and presentation to repo #8

Hi, I added my history part to the index.md and also fixed few links which were html, but are now md (core parts). Also I included the presentation for further use. The license they had was MIT, but I'm not sure about the pictures.

(Also somehow I messed up the .gitattributes, hope that isn't a problem?)

Can you add back the gitignore file please. We do not want git to pick up changes in automatically generated files, like those in _site/

You achieve this with git checkout HEAD~ -- .gitignore

Can you change the links back to .html. I'm not sure you understand how Jekyll works. Jekyll parses the .md files and spits out .html files.

You can see this easily by looking at jekyll rendering your own repository here. The links under 'The Course' section of the index page (which you changed) are all broken by pointing to non-existent files.

Hi, oh well guess yesterday was way to late for me. Sorry about the mess :) Should be fixed now. Maybe someone can propose some changes for reducing the times it says "In" in the index.md. See you on Saturday ...
