Open shreya-paul-17 opened 1 month ago

shreya-paul-17 commented 1 month ago

Is there an existing issue for this?

What happened?

Dear Project Admin,

It has come to our attention that your repository not applying the necessary labels to issues and merged PRs, which is affecting contributor scores on the leaderboard.

Please ensure you use the correct labels:

NOTE: Level labels should not have any dashes between them. Spaces are allowed, but no dashes should be used.

Kindly review and update the labels on your issues and PRs to ensure fairness for all contributors. Failure to address this may result in your project being flagged.

Thank you, Core Team GSSoC '24 Extended

I hope it's fine now

shreya-paul-17 commented 1 month ago

No @Harish-2003 it's not fine..I am trying to tell you add level1, level2, level3 labels to the existing issues if assigned to the contributors along with the ones that have been merged already into the project. Also add hacktoberfest-accepted labels to the open issues and merged PRs both. After you do it, tag me once again and I'll check it to ensure if it is correct or not.

Harish-2003 commented 1 month ago

Is hackoktberfest-accepted labels necessary? I don't think so if the repo is in hackoktberfest topic then the contribution towards the repo will get counted irrespective of the labelling towards the issue or the pr . They said that in the meeting that was hosted by them

Issue 69 of your project....It has not been assigned to anyone yet the labels are present. If assigned , add the labels to it

Also, remove labels from this. It is not a issue, It's a notice from GSSoC Core team

Have you added hacktoberfest label only to this?

Harish-2003 commented 1 month ago

I haven't added any label to any of them they are automatically counted irrespective of the labelling, go check #73 #74 #75 they all get counted even though I haven't labelled

Labelling is not necessary for hackoktberfest

shreya-paul-17 commented 1 month ago

Labelling is not necessary for hackoktberfest

Well it might be the case since you are the PA , but might not be the same with the contributor who have submitted this issue in your project

Has this got counted in the contributor's hacktoberfest profile also before it was reverted back..because for that hacktoberfest-accepted label is needed
