It's currently a rolling 24hours that will later transition to reset at midnight OTT, and be tested in the next few weeks.
As it currently stands, it works the same way that the recruiting works: 24hours from each attack/recruit will reset that iteration. So I theory, someone right now could do 1 attack every 4.8hours on another person to keep a bombardment of attacks (24hrs / 5attacks per day).
Am I reading this right that attacks will eventually reset at DT midnight? If so mass attacks could get even more traction. Everyone could hit a target with 5 attacks at 23:58, and then go again less than 2 mins later at 00:00
We will be testing it out, yes, as we implement the OTT aspect. It's currently set the way that was asked "each attack has its own 24hr cooldown", we will be testing a transition to OTT being the reset in the coming weeks.
As for the original request, not sure it really makes sense to have a spot on the side to show when an attack has cooled off, since its based on the player you're attacking and the time you attacked them.
@Dimez123 can you elaborate more on the request?
Clarity on when I can attack again, my first question seems answered that each attack has its own 24hr cooldown given the analogy to recruiting or example of attacking every 4.8hrs, I can close this ticket satisfied with that.
The ticket request itself was asking for the data scroll, just like the turn and gold gain cycle counter that counts down every 30min, to include a "next attack" timer. For example, "Next attack: 16h 21m 4/5". Indicating you have 4 attacks left (like deposits remaining in the bank) and that 5th one will come off CD in 16h 21min. If the community doesn't think this is necessary, then so be it. It's an optional low priority personal enhancement request that I can obviously live without.
There would be no way to do a "next attack" since attacks are dependent on the user you're attacking AND when you've attacked them. Atleast not in the "you" specific area as the sidebar scroll. Instead we could add a data point to the user profile and/or the Attack users page for the players you're looking at.
For instance, if you're looking at Nunos, then it may say you have 5 attacks available, but if you've attacked Rev 3times, it may say you have 2attacks available, with the next attack becoming available in X hours (24hrs - how ever long ago you attacked first).
Is that what you mean?
Closing as there's been no followup.
Does this feature already exist? I haven't clearly seen it
Specifically, for the 5 attack cap within 24 hrs. Does each attack have its own 24hr cooldown timer? Or do you trigger a 24hr timer after the 5th attack?
Regardless, perhaps on the data scroll on the left of the screen a spot can be added that shows when attacks are off cooldown?
